Sustainability

towards a more conscious future

At AP Factor, sustainability is not an abstract concept, but a concrete path made of measurable choices and progressive actions.

We are evolving toward a more responsible business model, integrating environmental criteria and quality standards throughout the entire supply chain:
from material selection to chair design, through to packaging, internal management, and communication.

Some results are already part of our daily production. Others represent clear objectives we are investing in
to further improve our impact.

Certified materials

We use OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified fabrics, an international certification that guarantees the absence of substances harmful to health and the environment.

Every component of our upholstery—threads, dyes, finishes—is tested according to rigorous standards, ensuring safety and reliability for residential and contract environments.

Fabric D, with all its color variations, is COEX certified and is based on a patented 100% natural technology, developed from the cellulose molecule.

This innovation makes it possible to render plant fibers flame-retardant without resorting to traditional chemical treatments, maintaining a more sustainable and environmentally friendly profile.

Fabric C, with all its color variations, is obtained from the recovery of plastic bottles.

This process reduces the use of virgin raw materials and contributes to the recovery of materials already in the production cycle, decreasing the overall environmental impact.

Seats designed with sustainable materials

COLOMBIA chair in natural BIO-LOLLA

Made from 100% recycled bio-material, COLOMBIA represents a synthesis of innovation, design, and environmental responsibility.

The use of recycled bio-based material reduces production impact while maintaining high technical and structural performance.

HELENA chair

Produced in recyclable plastic, HELENA is designed to last over time.

Sustainability also comes from product longevity: a durable, structurally solid chair designed for prolonged use reduces the need for replacement and therefore resource consumption.

Responsible management of internal processes

FSC® certified paper

Catalogs, price lists, and printed materials are produced exclusively on FSC® certified paper, sourced from responsibly and sustainably managed forests.

Waste reduction

We adopt material reuse practices, including in supporting elements such as shopping bags and accessory materials, with the goal of limiting unnecessary waste.

Waste separation

A structured waste management system with separation is active within the company to ensure proper disposal and promote resource recovery.

Projects in development

Sustainable packaging

We are developing a new packaging system made from recycled and recyclable cardboard, with the goal of progressively eliminating the use of plastic in packaging.

The project aims to reduce environmental impact during the transport and distribution phase, while maintaining product protection and safety.

Culture of sustainability and shared innovation

We want sustainability to become a topic of discussion and collective growth.

For this reason, we plan to organize company events dedicated to topics related to sustainability, new technologies, and green innovations.

The goal is to create an open space for other industry professionals, fostering the sharing of visions, experiences, and best practices.

Sustainability is a continuous journey, not a final destination.

AP Factor continues with a progressive and measurable approach, integrating responsible choices into its production of Made in Italy chairs and furnishing accessories.

Each step stems from the desire to combine manufacturing quality, technical innovation, and environmental respect, to build reliable products today that are consistent with tomorrow’s needs.
